The Parish Council finances its activities from part of the council tax paid by households in the parish. Tytherington Parish Council has set its precept at £25984 (the amount of money it raises from council tax payers) for the forthcoming financial year (April 2018 to March 2019), £4000 of which goes to the Village Post Office to help with upkeep
The Parish Council used £199.66 Community Infrastructure Levy Payment to go towards the purchase of a maypole for the children for Educational purposes. The 274cm pole is supplied in two sections making transporting and storage so much easier. It is possible to transport the maypole in a car (the largest section is the base which is 95cm squared).
