Itchington Common

Itchington Field

This is an area of common land on south wester fringe of the parish.  The area is hedged and fenced and comprises a relatively flat area of grassland with a steep wooded bank, running down to a stream.  The site supports a diverse range of plants, with calcareous grassland, scrub and woodland habitats present.  These attract man y birds and invertebrates, including moths and butterflies,  The main management aims are to control scrub encroachment and enhance the wildlife value of the site.
